Dear visitor, Thank you for your interest in Artspace's work in Council Bluffs. The Harvester Artist Lofts project will transform an historic International Harvester warehouse at 1000 S. Main Street into a 36-unit residential building designed to meet the space needs of creative individuals and their families. Each unit will have sufficient additional space – about 200 square feet – for an artist’s studio. The project will also contain 6,000 square feet of non-residential space that will be designated for arts-related uses, such as working artist studios and offices of arts organizations.
Households benefiting from this project are households with incomes between 40% and 60% of median income for Council Bluffs (median income currently $64,800). The project will include 2 efficiencies, 11 one bedrooms, 18 two bedrooms and 5 three bedrooms. The three bedroom units will be on the main floor with direct access to the outdoor playground area and community garden, making them ideal living spaces for families.
